I'm not seeking specific external attributes in my clients. You didn't choose the cards you were dealt which is why I'm much more interested in how you're playing them. Anyone who's on a journey to grow by looking inwards and taking action can benefit from my coaching.
While there are grey areas, a coach is different to other support professionals. Each option has its advantages and it's up to you to choose the tools that suit your challenges:
Guide/Mentor/Advisor/Consultant - They are the expert and you hire them for their ability to lead or solve your problems for you.
Counsellor - Typically a short-term engagement. Helpful to heal emotionally and achieve a stable present.
Psychotherapist - Similar to a counsellor, often longer-term to uncover more complex emotional experiences and heal on a deeper level.
Psychologist/Psychiatrist - Expertly qualified to diagnose and/or provide treatment for specific psychological disorders.
Coach - A thinking partner who encourages you to practice the curiosity and autonomy required to discover your own solutions. Respects your expertise on your life over their opinion.
